Chuny Bermúdez el segundo español en ganar la Volvo Ocean Race con el Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing. La Cofradía Europea de la Vela lo felicita a él y a su familia.

Chuny Bermudez is the second Spanish to win the Volvo Ocean Race in the sailing boat Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing. The European Sailing Fraternity congratulates him and his family.

Chuny Bermúdez después de 9 meses de navegación ha ganado la Volvo Ocean Race. Es el primer gallego en lograrlo y el segundo español después del catalán Joan Vila que ganó een 2001 en el Illbruck alemán.

A su llegada a Gotemburgo el capitán del Abu Dhabi, Walker decía “Todos hemos ganado, porque volvemos sanos y salvos a casa”.

Mi mas cordial enhorabuena , la mereciste antes , pero  hacer seis Volvo Ocean Race  es mucho

En mi nombre y en el de toda la Cofradia  eres un super campeón

Mis recuerdos retroceden al optimist cuando conoci aun chaval que lo ganaba todo , con el cual hemos recorrido mucho camino en pro de la vela gallega y que en el 93 se embarco en su primera aventura de las vueltas al mundo el Galicia 93 Pescanova y que desgraciadamente no hubo mas barcos gallegos en la vuelta al mundo  del cual tendrías quehaber sido el patrón,  pero seguiste y seguiste hasta conseguir ganar esta prueba

Espero que lo pases en grande con la familia en estos momentos tan maravillosos y que echaras de menos a tu madre que le encantaría estar con vosotros en Goteborg y se tuvo que quedar en la Coruña muy a su pesar

Querido Chuny: Con inmensa alegría celebramos tu GRAN VICTORIA en la VOR. Aunque no he podido asistir con la Cofradía a Lisboa para verte y dar el último empujoncito ( que no hizo falta-). Esperamos muy pronto  estar contigo  personalmente. Un cariñoso recuerdo de toda esta familia XOUBA.

Querido Chuny,

Sabes lo mucho que te aprecio y de ahí mi gran alegría por tu victoria en la VOR. Te lo mereces totalmente y es una bofetada que le das, pero que no la sentirán, porque la cara la tienen muy dura, los  peseteros envidiosos de la vela española que tanto te han querido perjudicar, y alguna vez lo han conseguido.

Esto que te digo no se refiere a los tripulantes del “MAPFRE”, claro está, ,sino al acumulador de títulos inventados que no se embarca en la VOR  más que en las pruebas costeras.

Pero dejémonos de politiqueo : ¡¡¡ENHORABUENA!!!, nos has hecho felices a todos los aficionados españoles de buena fe por tu éxito, y más aun los que somos tus Cofrades.

Estimado Chuny,

Ya has visto que en la Cofradía todo el mundo está supercontento y orgulloso con este nuevo éxito tuyo en la Volvo Ocean Race. Yo creo que además de ser un “gallego universal”, eres también un “supercofrade”.

Habría sido fantástico haber estado en Göteborg cuando llegasteis. Sé que personajes muy importantes de la vela española sí que estuvieron allí, y da una cierta pena no haber podido compartir directamente contigo esos momentos.

Espero poder verte pronto para darte un fuerte abrazo.

Chuny Bermudez is the second Spanish to win the Volvo Ocean Race in the sailing boat Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing. The European Sailing Fraternity congratulates him and his family. Chuny Bermudez after 9 months at sea has won the Volvo Ocean Race. It is the first Galician to do that and the second Spanish after victory of the Catalonian Joan Vila in 2001 in the German boat Illbruck. My warmest congratulations, you should get it before, but make six Volvo Ocean Race is a lot.  

In my name and in the name of all members of the Fraternity you’re a super champion.  

My memories of you go to the time of the optimist when I met a boy who won everything with which we have walk a long way promotion sail of Galicia and sailing in the  Galicia 93 Pescanova embarked on your First adventure around the world and unfortunately Galicians were no more ships participating in those sea racins around the world in which you should have been the skipper, but you kept and followed these racing around the world until to win in this event of VOR

I hope you spend a great time with your family at these wonderful moments and have missed your mother who would love to be with you in Gothenburg but she had to stay in A Coruna very reluctantly

Dear Chuny,

You know how much I appreciate you and my great happiness by your victory in the VOR. This victory is for you and it is a way to show all envidious people of Spanish Sailing that are not helping you and have been an obstacle, that some times have stopped you.

I am talking about the person with invented titles that he has not in the VOR except in the coast races in the Mapfre ship. This is not for the rest of the crew of Mapfre.

But I don´t want to talk about politician: CONGRATULATIONS !!!, You have made happy everyone Spanish fans of sailing in good faith by your success, and even those who are members of the European Sailing Fraternity.

You can see that all members of the ESF are very proud and happy with your triumph in the Volvo Ocean Race. Besides I believe that you are a Galician of the World, your are a superbrother of the ESF.

To be in Göteborg when you arrived would be wonderful. Important people of Spanish Sailing were there, and it is a pity not to be with you there.
