El pasado día 15 de julio la Cofradía Europea de la Vela reconoció el trabajo realizado por diferentes personas en un acto de entrega de diplomas realizado en el Real Club Náutico de San Sebastián, club fundado en 1896 y cuyo edificio está catalogado y protegido con la categoría de monumento como ejemplo de arquitectura racionalista.
Last 15th of July the European Sailing Fraternity recognized the work done by different people in an act of presentation of diplomas in the Royal Yacht Club of San Sebastián, founded in 1896, in a building listed as protected monument and an example of rationalist architecture.
El acto de entrega comenzó a las 19 h. cuando el Cofrade Pedro López-Montenegro llamó a los cofrades asistentes, Anastasio Perez Torres, Marcel Retaillou, Didier Maurice y Luis Mª Naya, que entraron en la sala precedidos por el Gran Maestre de la CEV, Francisco Quiroga, y el presidente del RCNSS Juan Barrero.
El acto estuvo divido en dos partes, en la primera Pedro López-Montenegro, tras la entrega de una metopa de la CEV al RCNSS, presentó a los amigos acreedores de méritos para recibir los diplomas y fueron llamados uno a uno para que lo recogieran:

- Manu Isuskiza Yarritu,
- Yunsan Meas,
- Nicolas Olazabal,
- Pello Olazabal,
- Serge Rafaelen,
- Francisco Javier de Santiago Diaz-Guemes,

- Jaime Zulueta,
Asimismo iban a ser reconocidos como amigos de la CEV Santiago Pablos y Amador Sanchez Bernal, pero no pudieron asistir.
En nombre de los Amigos tomó la palabra Vicente Zaragüeta que agradeció el honor y nos emocionó con sus relatos.
En la segunda parte del acto los cofrades Pedro López-Montengro y Luis Mª Naya se encargaron de una proyección de imágenes que comenzó con el Anuncio de Regata Original de la Primera Regata La Habana-San Sebastián, la regata más larga de aquel momento, continuó con una serie de fotografías de la clase Star, realizadas en los años 40 por el Marqués de Santa María del Villar y cedidas al RCNSS por Jaime Zulueta y con una pequeña muestras de las fotografías submarinas que forman parte de una exposición que va a realizar el cofrade Luis Mª Naya en el Aquarium de San Sebastián en 2016, año en el que San Sebastián será Capital Europea de la Cultura.
El acto concluyó con un aperitivo ofrecido por el RCNSS que fue servido en la terraza de proa del club, la alegre y distendida conversación dio pie a que cofrades y premiados decidieran continuar la velada, cenando en el mismo lugar.

DELIVERY OF DIPLOMAS IN THE EUROPEAN SAILING FRATERNITY IN THE ROYAL YACHT CLUB OF SAN SEBASTIÁN.
Last 15th of July the European Sailing Fraternity recognized the work done by different people in an act of presentation of diplomas in the Royal Yacht Club of San Sebastián, founded in 1896, in a building listed as protected monument and an example of rationalist architecture.
The ceremony began at 19:00 h. when our colleague Pedro López-Montenegro was calling the members of ESF, Anastasio Perez Torres, Marcel Retaillou, Didier Maurice and Luis Mª Naya, to come into the room preceded by the Grand Master of the ESF Francisco Quiroga, and by the President of RCNSS Juan Barrero.
El ceremony was divided into two parts. In the first part Pedro López-Montenegro received in the name of the RCNSS a metope from the ESF. Afterwards he presented the creditors of merits of the new Friends of the ESF whom received the diplomas and were called one by one to collect it:

Also there were recognized as friends of the ESF Santiago Pablos and Amador Sánchez Bernal, but they couldn´t participate in the ceremony.
In the name of the new Friends ESF talked Vicente Zaragüeta who appreciated the honour to be Friend ESF and thrilled us with his stories.
In the second part of the Ceremony the member Pedro Lopez-Montengro and Luis Mª Naya were responsible for a projection of images that began with the announcement of The Original First Race the Habana-San Sebastián, the longest in that time race, continued with a series of photographs of the Star class, made in the 1940s by the Marqués de Santa María del Villar and ceded to the RCNSS by Jaime Zulueta and with a small sample of the underwater photographs that are part of an exhibition that is going to be our colleague Luis Mª Naya in the Aquarium of San Sebastian in 2016, year in which San Sebastian will be European Capital of the Cultura.
The event finished with an aperitif offered by the RCNSS that was served on the terrace of the bow of the club, with a cheerful and relaxed conversation, reason why some members decided to continue the evening dining in the same place.
