La Cofradía Europea de la Vela ha concedido su máximo reconocimiento anual, el Premio CEV, al italiano Carlo Rolandi. Una figura básica en el ámbito deportivo de la vela en Italia y a nivel mundial. El acto tuvo lugar el 19 de septiembre en el exclusivo Club Portuense de Porto en el marco de la Cena Oficial de Confraternización dentro de los actos de Investidura 2015.
The European Sailing Fraternity has given its maximum recognition, the CEV-ESF Award, to the Italian Carlo Rolandi. He is and has been a key national a international important person in the sailing world. The event took place on September 19 at the exclusive Club Portuense of Porto in the framework of the Official fraternization dinner in the middle of the activities of the 2015 Investiture.
La Cofradía lleva 5 ediciones de su Premio CEV. Con ello reconoce a grandes deportistas o trayectorias a favor del desarrollo de la vela en el mundo. Forman parte de este club exclusivo de premiados:
- 5 Edición: Carlo Rolandi. Italia.
- 4 Edición: Peter Siemsen. Brasil.
- 3 Edición: Roberto Bermúdez de Castro “Chuni”. España.
- 2 Edición: Marcial Sánchez Barcaizteigui y Aznar. España.
- 1 Edición: Torben Grael. Brasil.

El premio fue acordado por la Tabla (Junta Directiva) de la Cofradía de la Vela en su reunión de las Islas Baleares en 2014. La candidatura del premiado fue presentada por el Presidente del Comité de Premio CEV, Antonio Roquette quien destacó la importancia tanto como deportista como directivo nacional e internacional de la Vela a Carlo Rolandi.
El acto de entrega organizado por el Comité de Investidura con Pedro Rey Barreiro-Meiro y Afonso Themudo en el Club Portuense. Institución de máximo prestigio de Portugal que cuenta con unas instalaciones cargadas de historia en el centro de Porto.
El Canciller, Xose Luis Blanco, actuó como maestro de ceremonias y dirigió el acto de entrega del Premio. Destacar que en el acto estuvieron presentes otros dos premiados anteriormente, Peter Siemsen y Roberto Bermúdez de Castro. Para este último hubo una mención a su reciente victoria en la Volvo Ocean Race.

La entrega del premio fue realizada por el Gran Maestre, Francisco Quiroga y el Presidente del Comité de Premio CEV, Antonio Roquette. Carlo Rolandi como premiado recordó en su discurso el apoyo recibido por su mujer, Laura Rolandi, recientemente fallecida.
Miembros de los distintos Capítulos, como el Italo-Maltés, dirigieron unas palabras de felicitación a la organización de tan bello acto.
Agradecer la sorpresa que el responsable local del Comité de Investidura, Afonso Themudo, ha tenido al organizar en medio de la cena oficial de un concierto de tres tenores que amenizaron durante toda la noche con sus canciones la maravillosa velada.

The Fraternity has organized 5 editions of the CEV-ESF Award. This prize recognizes the greatest sailors and important people careers to develop of sailing in the world. They are part of this exclusive club of winners recognized by the ESF:

The award was decided by the Board of Directors (Table) of the European Sailing Fraternity at its meeting in the Balearic Islands in 2014. The candidature of the award was presented by the Chairman of ESF-CEV Award Committee, Antonio Roquette, who talked about the importance as a national and international sportman or management in the sailing associations, Carlo Rolandi.

The ceremony was organized by the Committee of Investiture with Pedro Rey Barreiro-Meiro and Afonso Themudo in the Club Portuense. One of the most prestigious institution of Portugal which has a important history situated in the center of Porto.
The Chancellor, Xose Luis Blanco, participated as master of ceremonies and led the ceremony of the Prize. Note that in the event were two other ESF Awards winners, Peter Siemsen and Roberto Bermudez de Castro. Who was mentioned for his recent victory in the Volvo Ocean Race.
The award was given by the Grand Master, Francisco Quiroga and the Chairman of the ESF Award, Antonio Roquette. Carlo Rolandi was the winner and in his speech had words for his wife, Laura Rolandi, who died recently.
Members of the various chapters, such as the Italo-Maltese, said a few words of congratulations to the organization committee for this beautiful event.
The Local Investiture Committee, Afonso Themudo, surprised all the participants organize a three tenors concert during the official dinner making a wonderful evening for all attendees.
