La Cofradía Europea de la Vela ha decidido otorgar el Premio Internacional CEV 2016 a Jöao Rodrigues a propuesta del Comité del Premio CEV presidido por Antonio Roquette. Además nuestro amigo y cofrade Pedro Mendonça ha sido nombrado a título póstumo como Comodoro Honorario de la Asociación Naval de Lisboa.
The European Sailing Fraternity has decided to give the 2016 ESF/CEV International Award to Joao Rodrigues at the proposal of the CEV/ESF Prize Committee chaired by Antonio Roquette. Besides our friend and member of the Fraternity, Pedro Mendonça, has been named posthumously as Honorary Commodore of the Naval Association of Lisbon.

El Comité de Investidura de la Cofradía Europea de la Vela presidido por Antonio Roquette ha propuesto a Jöao Rodrigues como Premio Internacional CEV en el año 2016 y que será entregado en Nápoles en octubre de 2016.

Jöao Rodrigues es una figura internacional de windsurf. Nacido en las Islas de Madeira es uno de los deportistas con mas de 50 medallas internacionales y con una carrera deportiva más larga. Además es uno de los 24 candidatos a integrar la Comisión de Atlétas Olímpicos del Comité Olípico Internacional que serán elegidos en el marco de los Juegos Olímpicos de Río 2016.
Estará presente por 7 vez en unos Juegos Olímpicos, en Río de Janeiro 2016 en la clase RS X, siendo el deportista portugués con más participaciones en Juegos Olímpicos. Obtuvo su mejor clasificación con el 4 lugar en los Juegos de Atenas 2014.
Bigamist en la Copa del Rey
La Asociación Naval de Lisboa reconoce a título póstumo a Pedro Mendonça como Comodoro Honorario.
La Asociación Naval de Lisboa ha celebrado su asamblea anual con la participación de autoridades como la Camara Municipal de Lisboa, el Puerto de Lisboa, el Estado Mayor de la Armada, la Federación Portuguesa de Vela, la de Montonáutica y otros Clubes, junto con el Comandante del Sagres.
Dentro de los actos de la Asamblea se realizó una ceremonia homenaje a la figura del Pedro Mendonça, recientemente fallecido que estaba representado por su hija Dr.a Ana Mendonça, su mujer Madalena Mendonça (Amiga CEV), amigos y familiares y por nuestros cofrade Luis Vasconcelos, perteneciente al Capítulo de Lisboa.
El presidente de la Vela y Motonáutica de la ANL, Mario Jara de Carvalho, miembro de la Cofradía, inició la ceremonia recordando la gran aportación realizada por Pedro Mendonça a la vela, teniendo unas palabras de recuerdo para él y la tripulación de su Bigamist, allí presente. Recordó que el Bigamist ganó el Campeonato Europeo de Soto40 y obtuvo una medalla de bronce en el Campeonato Mundial Soto40
Posteriormente se hizo entrega del Diploma de Comodoro Honorario Vitalicio a la Dra. Ana Mendonça en nombre de su padre Pedro Mendonça. Este reconocimiento fue entregado por el socio y anterior Comodoro de la ANL y Cofrade CEV, Eduardo Guimaraes Marques, extripulante y amigo de Pedro Mendonça.

The Committee Investiture of the European Sailing Fraternity chaired by Antonio Roquette has proposed to Joao Rodrigues as CEV/ESF International Award in 2016 that will be delivered in Naples in October 2016.

Joao Rodrigues is an international windsurfing figure. He was borned in Madeira Islands and he is an athlet with more than 50 international medals and with a longer career. He also is one of the 24 candidates to the Athletes Commission of the International Olympic Committee that will be elected under the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
He has participated for 7 times in the Olympic Games with its participation in Rio de Janeiro 2016 in the RS X class. He is the Portuguese athlete with more participations in Olympic Games. He reached his best position with the 4th place in the 2014 Athens Games.

The Naval Association of Lisbon recognizes posthumously to Pedro Mendonça as Honorary Commodore.
The Naval Association of Lisbon has held its annual meeting with the participation of authorities such as the Camara of Municipality of Lisbon, the Port of Lisbon, the General Staff of the Navy, the Portuguese Sailing Federation and the Powerboat Federation and other clubs, along with the Commander of Sagres.
Among the events of the Assembly a tribute to the figure of Pedro Mendonça ceremony was held after his recently deceased. He was represented by his daughter Dr.A Ana Mendonça, his wife Madalena Mendonça (CEV/ESF Friend), family and friends and our member of ESF/CEV Luis Vasconcelos, belonging to the Chapter of Lisbon.

Aferwards it was deliveried the Honor Life Diploma as Comodoro of the ANL to his daughter Ana Mendonça on behalf of her father Pedro Mendonça. This award was gived by the member and former Commodore of the ANL and member of CEV/ESF , Eduardo Marques Guimaraes, former crew and friend of Pedro Mendonça
