La Cofradía Europea de la Vela ha creado un itinerario que permita recorrer la ruta utilizada por el Almirante Shovell para llegar a la batalla de Rande y a la vez conocer las costas y monumentos de interés que se podían ver desde el mar y los lugares que fueron objeto de la batalla.
Esta iniciativa forma parte de la actividad “concentración de veleros anual de la Cofradía” que permite mediante itinerarios para conocer distintos lugares, En estas rutas se incluyen;
– Itinerario seguido y su vinculación con un hecho histórico. Aparece marcado con una línea gruesa azul.
– Principales lugares o monumentos que se han de ver desde el mar. Aparecen con el icono de una embarcación.
– Puertos o playas de fondeo. Aparecen con un icono de un ancla
– Miradores. Aparece con el icono de una cámara de fotografías.
– Rutas a realizar caminando o practicando senderismo. Aparece con el icono de dos caminantes.
Cada uno de los elementos que integran la ruta recogen una referencia al interés del elemento y/o a su vinculación histórica a la batalla de Rande. En el caso de puertos y fondeos se indica la website donde obtener información de cómo acceder o reservar, así como de los servicios que ofrece.

En esta concentración de veleros participó una flotilla de 3 barcos capitaneada por el Trasto VI patroneado por el Comodoro de la Cofradía D. Ramón Sabín Sabín, el Azulmarino, . al mando del cofrade D. Alfonso Sanchez, y el Clariga gobernado por el tambien cofrado D. Manuel Sabín.

THE EUROPEAN SAILING FRATERNITY HAS CREATED THE ADMIRAL SHOVELL ROUTE OF THE BATTLE OF RANDE
The Fraternity has created a new itinerary to sail on the Admiral Shovell way used to g to the Battle of Rande and at the same time helping to know monuments and coastal sites of interest that sailors can see from the sea and other sites objective in the battle.
This initiative is an action of the Sailing boats annual meeting activity. Its objective is to help to know different places through new sea itineraries. Those routes include:
– Sailing way and the relationship to historical fact. It will be in wide blue line in the map.
– Main sites and monuments that can be seen from the sea. It will be in sailing boat icon.
– Harbours and mooring beaches. It will be in anchor icon.
– Viewpoints. It will be in a photographic camera icon.
– Walking routes. It will be in a two walkers icon..
Each one of the elements part of the route has a description about the interest of the site and/or a related to a historical moment of the Battle of Rande. In the case of the harbours and moorings beaches will be included a website address where it will be possible to obtain additional information about how to go or book and services and facilities..
