El Capítulo de Canarias que agrupa a los miembros de la Cofradía Europea de la Vela de Canarias se ha reunido el este mes de abril.

En la reunión estuvieron presentes tanto los cofrades miembros como los novicios o próximos miembros. La reunión ha sido promovida por el coordinador del Capítulo Enrique Boissier.
Los asistentes han sido
D. Juan Marrero Portugués, D. Jorge Cantero Del Río, D. Juan Miranda, Dña. Patricia Guerra, D. Joaquín Blanco, D. Enrique Boissier Pérez (Coordinador Cofradía para Canarias), asisten también los futuros cofrades: D. Manuel Fernández, D. Adolfo López, D. Jorge Cantero (hijo), disculpan su asistencia D. José A. Romero (futuro cofrade), D. Octavio Artiles (futuro cofrade).
Los principales temas tratados han sido:
En un primer momento se ha recordado a los cofrades y amigos fallecidos. En este caso a nuestro amigo Jorge Cantero por el fallecimiento de su esposa.
El tema central de la reunión ha estado centrado en las actividades que se desarrollarán en la próxima visita a Porto con ocasión de la Investidura de la Cofradía. Se ha coordinado el desplazamiento y asistentes.
También se ha felicitado por su próxima incorporación a los siguientes novicios:

- D. Jorge Cantero Brossa
- D. Manuel Fernández D. Octavio Artiles
Seguidamente se ha analizado la expansión de la Cofradía y como se pueden desarrollar nuevas actividades con nuevos cofrades de los nuevos países en los que la Cofradía tiene representación y que actualmente alcanza 28 países y 352 miembros entre cofrades, novicios y amigos CEV.
Por último se propone trabajar en el desarrollo de una regata Brest – Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, en colaboración con los cofrades de Bretaña y Francia la posibilidad de retomar las gestiones para hacer realidad esta regata.
La reunión finalizó valorando posibles candidatos de Canarias para el año 2016.

The main topics were:
At first it reminded the deceased brothers and friends. In this case our friend Jorge Cantero for the death of his wife.
The central topic of the meeting was focused on the activities to be developed in the next visit to Porto on the occasion of the Investiture of the Fraternity. It has coordinated the movement and assistants.

Finally it is proposed to work on developing a race Brest – Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in collaboration with the brothers of Britanny and France the possibility of resuming the negotiations to realize this race.
The meeting ended with a evaluating of potential candidates for 2016.
