El Capítulo Italo-Maltés ha publicado el boletín de la Cofradía para esos territorios (Italia y Malta) en el que desarrolla a través de 4 artículos y numerosas fotografías la participación de los cofrades de ese Capítulo en los actos de Investidura de Porto.
The Chapter from Italy-Malta of the Fraternity has published a ESF-CEV bulletin to these territories (Italy and Malta) that develops in 4 articles and numerous photographs the participation of the members of this Chapter in the events of the Investiture of Porto.
El Capítulo Italo-Maltés fue creado por la Tabla de la Cofradía el 20 de febrero de 2015 en Santiago de Compostela y que consta actualmente de 16 miembros. Además próximamente contará con un número importante de Amigos CEV.
Hemos de destacar la labor llevada a cabo por Paolo Rastrelli y Carlo Rolandi y su difunta esposa Laura Rolandi en la promoción y desarrollo de este Capítulo. De hecho en la Investidura de Porto se han convertido en nuevos cofrades un total de 8 novicios pertenecientes a este Capítulo.
Desde su creación el Capítulo Italo-Maltés ha promovido la actividad de la Cofradía en Italia y Malta. De hecho han desarrollado un Boletín específico de la Cofradía en lengua italiana del que este será su tercer número. Miembros de este capítulo tienen gran experiencia en el desarrollo de importantes publicaciones vinculadas con el mar y la cultura marítima. De hecho hay que destacar el CENTRO STUDI TRADIZIONI NAUTICHE – LEGA NAVALE ITALIANA – NAPOLI, que en otros artículos se ha comentado y al que se puede acceder a través de la web www.eurocofradevela.com en el menú de Publicaciones en la sección de enlaces de interés.
Los miembros del Capítulo Italo-Maltés participantes en la Investidura y actos de Porto han sido: Carlo Rolandi y Paolo Rastrelli junto a los novicios Domenico Carro, Gigi Croce, Stefano Faggioni, Pasquale Giugno, Mario Mancini, Alberto Lezzi, Raffaele Ricci e Giancarlo Spezie. Excusaron su asistencia John Ripard e Agostino Randazzo y no pudieron estar presentes los futuros cofrades Maurizio Brescia, Renato Ferraro, Alfredo Ricci e Roberto Roccati
Se inicia el boletín con un artículo titulado “La Armada Italo-Maltés desembarca en Porto”. En este artículo presentan a los miembros del Capítulo asistentes, la obtención del Premio Anual CEV 2015 por parte de Carlo Rolandi, el agradecimiento por la creación del premio a la memoria de Laura Rolandi, los debates técnicos que tuvieron lugar en la Casa Ribeirinho, la visita y misa en la Catedral de Masssarelos y el interés en desarrollar en el futuro una investidura en Italia.
El segundo artículo desarrolla la ceremonia de Investidura de Porto. Recoge los nuevos novicios de Italia y sus acompañantes así como el total de 32 nuevos miembros y sus países. El discurso del Alcalde Porto, la emocionante canción de los marineros interpretada por la Banda de la Marina de Portugal y la vestimenta especial que el acto solemne de la Cofradía supone son destacados en el artículo. Finalmente hace referencia a la cena oficial en la que tuvo lugar la entrega del Premio CEV 2015 a Carlo Rolandi y que estuvo acompañado de las canciones como “O sole mio” o “All’alba vincerò” de los tres tenores que tanto emocionaron a los asistentes.
El tercero y cuarto artículos son de nuestros cofrades italianos de Giancarlo Spezie y de Rafaelle Ricci. El primero recordando la amistad y relación con los nuevos cofrades italianos, junto con la belleza y el tiempo que acompañó durante la estancia en Porto. El segundo hace un repaso a los principales momentos del viaje y de las actividades de los cofrades italianos en Porto destacando el emotivo acto de investidura, el valor de pertenecer a una hermandad de la vela a nivel mundial y el acto de entrega del Premio CEV a Carlo Rolandi en el Club Portuense.
El boletín finaliza con nueve fotografías de los momentos más importantes para la delegación Italiana en los actos de la Cofradía en Porto y con una agradecimiento especial al Gran Maestre, Francisco Quiroga y en particular al cofrade Afonso Themudo.

Premio CEV
The Chapter from Italy-Malta was created by the Board of Directors of the Fraternity on February 20th , 2015 in Santiago de Compostela and currently has 16 members. Coming soon will include a significant number of Friends CEV-ESF.
We must highlight the work carried out by Paolo Rastrelli and Carlo Rolandi and his wife Laura Rolandi in the promotion and development of this Chapter. In fact in the Investiture of Porto 8 of the new members were from this Chapter.
Since its creation the Chapter from Italy-Malta has promoted the activity of the Fraternity in Italy and Malta. In fact they have developed a specific bulletin of the Fraternity in Italian language with three editions. This Chapter have members with an extensive experience in the development of important publications related to the sea and maritime culture. In fact, we should mention the CENTRO STUDI TRADIZIONI NAUTICHE from the Lega Navale Italiana – NAPOLI, that has been mentioned in other news of the Fraternity and which can be accessed through the web www.eurocofradevela.com in the menu Publications in the section links of interest.
The members of the Italo-Maltese Chapter participating in acts of Investiture and Porto were: Paolo Rastrelli, Carlo Rolandi and the novices with Domenico Carro, Gigi Croce, Stefano Faggioni, Pasquale Giugno, Mario Mancini, Alberto Lezzi, Raffaele Ricci and Giancarlo Spezie . John Ripard and Agostino Randazzo had excused their attendance and the future members Maurizio Brescia, Renato Ferraro, Alfredo Ricci and Roberto Roccati could not be present in the event.
The Bulletin starts with an article entitled “Italo-Maltese Navy lands in Porto”. This article talked about the members of the Chapter attending, the ESF-CEV Award 2015 obtained by Carlo Rolandi, greeting to the Fraternity for the creation of the award in memory of Laura Rolandi, the technical discussions held in Cassa Ribeirinho, the visit and Mass at the Cathedral of Masssarelos and the interest in developing an Investiture event in the future in Italy.
The second article develops the Investiture of Porto. It talks about the new members from Italy and their companions and the total of 32 new members and their countries. The Mayor’s speech Porto, the thrilling song of “marineros” played by the Band of the Portuguese Navy, the special clothing of the ceremony of Investiture are featured in the article. Finally there is a referente to the official dinner and the delivery the ESF-CEV Award 2015 to Carlo Rolandi and the fabulous songs like “O sole mio” and “All’alba Vincerò” of the Three Tenors in this unforgettable night.
The third and fourth items were written by our Italian members Giancarlo Spezie and Rafaelle Ricci. The first recalling the friendship and relationship with the new Italian memberes, together with the beauty and weather that accompanied during their stay in Porto. The second gives an overview of the main highlights of the trip and the activities of the Italian members in Porto, highlighting the emotional investiture ceremony, the value of belonging to this world sailing Fraternity and the ceremony of the ESF-CEV Award to Carlo Rolandi in the Club Portuense.
The newsletter ends with nine pictures of the most important moments for the Italian delegation in the acts of the Fraternity in Porto and a special thanks to the Grand Master, Francisco Quiroga and in particular to the member Afonso Themudo.
