Catedral de Burgos
Éxito de los actos de la Cofradía. La conferencia sobre el primer Almirante de Castilla, las visitas a la Catedral de Burgos, Museo de la Evolución, la recepción en el Ayuntamiento por el Alcalde y el acto de incorporación de nuevos amigos de la Cofradía presidida por el Presidente de la Junta de Castilla y León muestran lo completo de este viaje de confraternización.
Success of the acts of the Fraternity in Burgos. The conference about the first Admiral of Castile, visits to the Cathedral of Burgos, Museum of Evolution, the reception at City Hall by the Mayor and the act of incorporation of new friends of the Fraternity headed by the President of the Junta de Castilla y Leon show completeness of this fraternization trip.
En este viaje de conocimiento e intercambio de experiencias de la Cofradía han participado 40 personas entre cofrades e invitados. Ellos procedían de Galicia, Baleares y Portugal, Castilla y León, Andorra, Cataluña y Madrid.
Las actividades en la visita a la Catedral fueron apoyadas con una guía titulada y con la recepción por parte del Canónigo de la Catedral. Es de destacar la Sala de la Capilla de los Condestables de Castilla (que era el responsable de los Caballos del Monarca que equivaldría actualmente a un Jefe de Gobierno, justo por debajo de la figura del Rey en la Edad Media). En la Catedral tuvo lugar un concierto de órgano por el organista titular de la Catedral.
Otras actividades tuvieron lugar con la recepción en el Ayuntamiento por parte del Alcalde, Javier Lacalle Lacalle. Los cofrades asistieron con la Capa Oficial de la Cofradía. En el acto, la Cofradía hizo entregó de una metopa de la Cofradía al Alcalde en reconocimiento y agradecimiento por la hospitalidad de la ciudad y este correspondió con la entrega de una pieza de artesanía en Alabastro de la Catedral de Burgos.
Acto entrega diploma “amigo de la Cofradía y de la Vela”
El acto de incorporación de amigos de la vela tuvo lugar en la Sala Capitular del Monasterio de San Juan. Han sido 13 nuevos amigos de la Cofradía y de la Vela:

A cada uno de ellos el Gran Maestre le hizo entrega del Diploma de Amigo de la Cofradía y de la Vela. El acto estuvo presidido por el Presidente de la Junta de Castilla y Leon, D. Juan Vicente Herrera Campo.
Seguidamente tuvo lugar la conferencia sobre el Almirante Bonifaz, primer Almirante de la Armada de Castilla del siglo XIV a cargo de Tino Barriuso. Destacar la anécdota de que es un pueblo de Castilla el que actualmente tiene proporcionalmente en número de habitantes el mayor número de marinos de guerra de España. El Almirante Bonifaz nació en Burgos, ciudad en la vivió y desde la que se desplazaba a Santander, Cantabria, Asturias y Galicia para organizar la flota con la que se consiguió la conquista de Sevilla. Esto llevado a cabo en coordinación con el Rey Fernando III el Santo. El acto estaba abierto al público que con aproximadamente 100 personas cubrió el aforo disponible. Próximamente se pondrá en la web la conferencia de Almirante Bonifaz.
Un agradecimiento especial a Emilio Miguel Amo, quien colaboró en la organización con Anastasio Pérez Torres, nuestro cofrade de Burgos, especialmente en la magnífica presentación del programa en letra gótica característica del periodo de nuestro Almirante Bonifaz.
Del resto del programa de visitas destacar las aportaciones realizadas por Emilio Miguel Amo, como conocedor y amante de la cultura burgalesa y Presidente del Orfeón de Burgos que es el 4 en antigüedad de todos los de España.
El fin de semana fue destinado a las visitas a las bodegas del Ribera del Duero. Alguna de ellas con más de 105 años de vida y dedicando alrededor del 50% a la exportación. En la de Torres Milano se degustó la gastronomía de la zona, el cordero y la morcilla, y se impuso la insignia de la Cofradía a Anastasio Pérez Torres y Emilio Miguel Amo.
Museo Evolución Humana
Sorprendió la visita al Museo de la Evolución Humana, un centro interpretación del yacimiento arqueológico de Atapuerca en Burgos donde se exponen los diferentes hallazgos que se han ido encontrado en el yacimiento desde que se comenzaron las excavaciones a finales de los años setenta. El fin del viaje tuvo lugar en el Museo de la Evolución con una copa de despedida a todos los asistentes hasta el próximo viaje de confraternización. Los asistentes mostraron su agradecimiento a los organizadores con unas sentidas palabras del Gran Maestre y del Contra-Almirante de la Armada Portuguesa, Bossa Dionisio.
Por último, se mantuvo una reunión de trabajo con los organizadores del Viaje de Confraternización a Andorra previsto para mayo de 2015 y coordinado por Josefina Borras y Francisco Ramón Bauzá.
Cathedral of Burgos
SUCCESS OF THE ACTS OF THE FRATERNITY IN THE CITY OF THE FIRST ADMIRAL OF CASTILE (BURGOS) RAMON BONIFAZ
In this journey of knowledge and exchange of experiences of the Fraternity have participated 40 people between brothers and guests. They came from Galicia, the Balearic Islands, Portugal, Castilla and León, Andorra, Catalonia and Madrid.
The activities in the visit of the Cathedral were supported by a specific guide and included a meeting with the “Canonigo” of the Cathedral. It was really interested the visit of the Chapel of the Constables of Castile (who were responsible for the Horses of Monarch that nowadays equivalent to a head of government, just below the figure of the king in the Middle Ages). The visit of the Cathedral finished with an organ concert held by the organist of the Cathedral.
Other activities took place with at the Town Hall with a reception with the Mayor of Burgos, Javier Lacalle Lacalle. The brothers dressed with the the Official Guild Cloak. At the event, the Fraternity gave a present, a “metopa” of the Association to the Mayor in a recognition and appreciation for the hospitality of the city and he corresponded with the delivery of a piece of a craftsmanship in alabaster of the Cathedral of Burgos.
New Friend of the Fraternity and Sail
The act of incorporation of friends of the Fraterinty took place in the Chapter House of the Monastery of San Juan. 13 new friends were incorporated as Friend of the Fraternity and Sail:

Each new friend received a Diploma as Friend of the Fratenity and Sail from the Grand Master. The event was chaired by the President of the Junta de Castilla y Leon, Juan Vicente Herrera Campo.
The Conference about the Admiral Bonifaz, first Navy Admiral of Castile in the fourteenth century was made by Tino Barriuso. Highlighting the story about the Castilian town which nowadays has the largest number of marine war Spain in proportion of its population. The Admirale Bonifaz was born in Burgos, the city where he lived and used to move to Santander, Cantabria, Asturias and Galicia to organize the fleet that it was used to conquest the city of Seville. All of this was made in coordination with the King Ferdinand III. The event was open to the public with approximately 100 people covered capacity available. Special thanks to Emilio Miguel Amo, who helped in the organization to Anastasio Perez Torres, our brother of Burgos, and especially by the preparation of a magnificent presentation of the program in Gothic script characteristic from the period of our Admiral Bonifaz.
From the rest of the program of visits we can highlight the contributions made by Emilio Miguel Amo, as a lover of culture of Burgos and as a Chairman of the Burgos Choir, that it is the fourth oldest in Spain.
Taste of Ribera del Duero Wines
At the weekend the group visited the wineries of Ribera del Duero. Some of them with over 105 years of life and with more of 50% of its production for exporting. In the Torres Milano celler Brothers could taste the local cuisine, lamb and sausage, and our Brother and friends, Anastasio Pérez Torres and Emilio Miguel Amo received a logo from the Fraternity.
Te visit to the Museum of Human Evolution an interpretation center of the archaeological site of Atapuerca in Burgos was a great surprise for everybody, there you can find exposed different findings that have been found at the site since excavations began in the late seventies. The end of the trip took place at the Museum of Evolution with a farewell drink to all attendees until the next fraternization trip. The audience showed their appreciation to the organizers with heartfelt words of the Grand Master and Rear Admiral of the Portuguese Navy, Bossa Dionisio.
Finally Grand Master had a meeting with the organizers of the Confraternization trip to Andorra scheduled for May 2015 and coordinated by Josefina Francisco Borras and Ramon Bauza.
