Nuestro amigo y cofrade, Juan Marrero Portugués, Presidente del Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria desde hace 18 años ha dejado la presidencia del Club Náutico el 4 de septiembre de 2013.
Nuestro cofrade ha explicado que su marcha le produce una sensación agridulce: “Me voy orgulloso y satisfecho por el trabajo bien hecho, pero también triste porque han sido muchos años dedicados al club, del que me llevo grandes amigos y con el que colaboraré en lo que sea necesario”.
Además ha destacado el “gran prestigio internacional, nacional y, por supuesto, local del que goza el club”. Además, ha afirmado que uno de los motivos por el que su marcha se hace más llevadera es la “paz laboral” de la que goza la empresa.
El presidente también ha querido mencionar los grandes logros deportivos de los regatistas que conforman el Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, destacando los tres podios en campeonatos mundiales y los tres campeones europeos.. “No hay actualmente otro club náutico español que pueda igualar los logros que desde aquí hemos conseguido”, apuntó Marrero.
La Cofradía apoya a nuestro cofrade y cuenta con él para el desarrollo de nuevas y mas actividades de la fraternidad en la isla de Gran Canaria.
Agradecimiento a Juan Marrero por la recepción y el maravilloso acto de investidura celebrado en las Palmas este año y por los lugares visitados de la Isla durante los días que los miembros de la Cofradía estuvieron allí.

JUAN MARRERO PORTUGUÉS, OUR MEMBER FROM “LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA” LEAVES THE REAL YACHT OF GRAND CANARY
Our friend and colleague, Juan Marrero Portuguese, President of the Real Club Nautico of Gran Canaria from eighteen years has left the presidency of the Club Nautico on September 4, 2013.
Our member of Fraternity has explained that it is a bitter and sweet sensation to leave the Club and he said: “I leaved the Club proud and satisfied by the job made it, but I am a little sad because I have dedicated a lot of years to the Club. I bring with me great friends and I will continue collaboration with the Club in all that It will be necessary.
By other side, he has remained the “great international, national and local prestige of the Club”. Besides, he said that one of the proud reasons of his time in the Club is to leave a Labour Peace in the company (Club).

Marrero said that “There is not currently another Spanish yacht club with similar achievements”.
The Fraternity will wait to have more time from Juan Marrero to develop new and more activities of the Cofradía on the island of Gran Canaria.
