La Cofradía difunde la cultura marítima a través de la figura del primer Almirante de Castilla, Ramón Bonifaz, gracias a la contribución de Tino Barriuso en su conferencia realizada en el marco de los actos de la Cofradía en Burgos.
The European Sailing Fratenity disseminates the maritime culture through the figure of the first Admiral of Castile, Ramon Bonifaz, thanks to the contribution of Tino Barriuso in their conference in the context of acts of the Fraternity in Burgos.
A lo largo de la exposición se recogen entre otros contenidos los siguiente:
- Encuadramiento político histórico de la época en la que vivió el Almirante Bonifaz en siglo XIII
- Reconocimiento que la Reina Isabel de Castilla le otorgó 250 años después .
- El rey Fernando III bajo el que luchó el Almirante Ramón Bonifaz y otros grandes de su época como Ricardo Corazón de León o Saladino.
- Las relaciones entre los reinos peninsulares y los reinos de Taifas.
- La conquista marítima de Sevilla llevada a cabo por el Almirante Bonifaz.
- Burgos la ciudad en la que fallece el primer Almirante de Castilla.
Muchos de los Escudos de poblaciones del norte Español recuerdan la conquista de Sevilla. La Las cadenas en Navarra y la rotura del puente de Barcas con su Torre del Oro en el de Cantabria. La flota que partió para la conquista de Sevilla era de navíos vascos, cántabros y astures reforzándose a su paso por Galicia.
