La Cofradía ha sido invitada a la recepción oficial del Buque Escuela Guayas que ha tenido lugar en Lisboa el 27 de septiembre junto con 150 personas del cuerpo diplomático y consular acreditado en Portugal, participando la Cofradía entre los invitados especiales.

Esta actividad es la continuación de la iniciada en el año 2011 por el Gran Maestre, Francisco Quiroga y el Cofrade Gervasio Cao, en el marco de la Regata Internacional “Copa Galápagos 2011” invitados por el cofrade y presidente de la Federación Ecuatoriana de Vela, Octavio Jarrín y el C.N. Almilcar Villavicencio, comandante del Guayas.
La Cofradía apoya con su presencia los eventos en los que se da a conocer la cultura marítima viva que los Buques Escuela, como el Guayas, representan para el mundo y en concreto para el Ecuador.
A esta actividad asistieron un total de 10 cofrades, preferentemente de Lisboa, Viana do Castelo, Galicia y Madrid.
Comandante del Guayas, Almicar Villavicencio y el Gran Maestre Francisco Quiroga en el Mess de Cascais
Entre los eventos celebrados destacan:
- Recepción oficial en el Buque Escuela
- Comida oficial en el MESS (Cámara de Oficiales de la Marina Portuguesa en Cascais).
- Asistencia a la Opera en el Planetario Gulbenkian
- Asistencia a Fados en la Alfama con la fadista internacional María Antonia Borbone.
Todo ello maravillosamente coordinado por los cofrades Contralmirante Bossa Dionisio y Manuel Cela Muruais, a los cuales agradecimos la difusión de la Cofradía en Portugal y Ecuador.
THE COFRADIA HAS BEEN INVITED BY ECUADOR TRAINING SHIP “GUAYAS”
The Brotherhood has been invited to the official reception of “Guayas” ship which took place in Lisbon on September 27. In this event participated around 150 people from the diplomatic and consular corps accredited in Portugal and special guest as the European Sailing Brotherhood.
This activity is a continuation of the initiated in 2011 by the “Gran Maestre”, Francisco Quiroga and the member Gervasio Cao, in the framework of the International Regatta “Galapagos Cup 2011”. It was thanks to the invitation o the Brother and President of the Ecuadorian Federation of Sailing, Octavio Jarrin and the CN Almilcar Villavicencio, Commander of the Guayas.
The Brotherhood supports those events that help and promote the maritime culture through training vessels, as the Guayas, in the world and specifically for Ecuador.
This activity was attended by a total of 10 brothers, by Lisbon, Viana do Castelo, Galicia and Madrid.
The events that Cofradia was invoved were:
1. Official Reception in the Vessel Guayas
2. Official Food in MESS (House of Portuguese Navy Officers in Cascais).
3. Attendance at the Opera in the Gulbenkian Planetarium
4. Assistance in the Alfama Fado to a Fado Show with international Borbone Maria Antonia.
All this programm was wonderfully coordinated by Admiral Bossa Dionisio and Manuel Cela Muruais. Cofradia thanksthe dissemination of the Brotherhood in Portugal and Ecuador by them.
